about

I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t surrounded by music. Some of my earliest memories are playing pipe organ in my grandmother’s living room, sitting beside my dad in the brass section, singing in my backyard. I couldn’t get enough; I took every opportunity I could to make music.

At age seven I fell in love with the piano. I love its ability to express every shade of emotion, how it can be both reverent and unruly. The unique personality of each instrument. The way it often becomes the musical heartbeat of the home, passed down from generation to generation as a treasured artifact.

The Heartland and its people are a deep source of inspiration for me, and I aim to infuse my performances with the sense of hospitality my home is known for. Whether I’m playing a Chopin nocturne or a Billy Joel ballade, I want you to feel like you’re right at home— hum along, cry if you need to, and share your stories.

When I am not playing piano, you can find me photographing, writing, and reading.
